That RDR 2 map I posted a few pages back may be real. This is all very exciting.

This is the map you'll be playing in Red Dead Redemption 2

The map for Rockstar's upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 has leaked online, and been confirmed by our own independent source.

The map was posted to NeoGAF by someone claiming to have received it from a source, before hastily pulling it down. But this being the internet, the map had already been immortalised, although many commenters questioned its legitimacy.

A source close to the development of the new Red Dead game has now confirmed to us that the map is indeed the real deal, revealing that this is a "very recent" art direction map for the upcoming title.

They also confirmed that the game will be set before the events of Redemption, and that the new map is just east of the one that featured in Red Dead Redemption.

If you look at the bottom left you'll see the Great Plains, home to the Blackwater settlement that sits at the top right of the Red Dead Redemption map - so you can see how the two come together. The lack of a railroad in the Great Plains, which featured in RDR, also points to this being earlier in the timeline.

While we've referred to the upcoming game as Red Dead Redemption 2, the name is currently unknown - so start your guesses. Red Dead Retribution sounds good to us.

Rockstar did not respond to our request for comment on this story.

Stellaris is less than a month away now:

As you struggle to explore and survive in the procedurally generated galaxy, the race to acquire, research, and improve technology comes into play, as it does in many strategy games. Stellaris gives it a new wrinkle, however, with the late-game events that threaten not just the faction that has upgraded its technology, but everyone else in the galaxy as well.

"Certain technologies can be especially dangerous, and they are marked as such in the technology screen when you find them. So it's fine to have, like, toaster-level robotic workers that are not very efficient, but the final tier to AI research makes them better than your normal [population] and smarter and so on, and we all know what happens when you do that, right?

"So, there is a risk that somewhere in the galaxy where someone has done this, there will be a robot revolt and that would be a massive uprising by all robots in the galaxy. And if you can't suppress that, it can easily snowball and go out of control. So the mechanical civilization will wipe out all organic life."

:D

Showing my age here but I LOVED Kick Off 2 back in the day.

Used to spend an unhealthy number of hours playing that in my early teenage years when everyone else was being sensible hanging around the offy getting smashed on merry down and necking various birds.

Even older I can remember playing Kevin toms football manager (I think) on 8 bit. Total bobbins mind, you could win the fa cup in the first season with some bif team like wrexham or Leicester ... Oh hang on...

I've managed to get four pieces of the striker gear set on the division.

The plus 1% damage on every hit up to 100% is just insane taking out level 32 yellow bosses in the dark zone with one magazine now.

Finished Mad Max last night. Typical Max style ending. IT'S WHY I NEVER LET MYSELF LOVE ANYONE!!!!!!

Good game. Need to finish up the wasteland and get those last couple remaining camps.

Dirt Rally might be the greatest racing game of all time.
It's hard. Bloody hard. The Dark Souls of racing games if you will (not that I've ever played them but I've heard they're nails).

But if you persist. And learn it's the most rewarding racing game ever.
I want to play this so badly. I wish they'd release it for OSX on Steam.

I have just the three at the moment, still quite useful mind.
Had a gander at the incursion on challenging mode, don't think that's going to happen somehow.
Wandered in and they're all level 34 yellows
