Computer games.

Dirt Rally might be the greatest racing game of all time.
It's hard. Bloody hard. The Dark Souls of racing games if you will (not that I've ever played them but I've heard they're nails).

But if you persist. And learn it's the most rewarding racing game ever.

I'm partial to a good rally game (Colin McRae was ace) and like the look of this one. I've precious little time for games nowadays so can't devote too much to get 'used' to them - is that the case with Dirt? Is it really not that accessible and easy to pick up, have and enjoyable 30-minute blast then put it down for a few weeks again?

Yeah. I picked up and played, as it were, in between the 2 Sunday to games today. Managed to do the Welsh Rally in just over half an hour. (Came 4th despite a massive off in the third stage).

So yeah I'd say so. Like you I don't have ages for games these days but really am into this.

If you do get it my main advice is don't get disheartened when you crash about 93 times on your first to. Takes a bit of getting used to.

Cheers, mate. Will likely pick this up at the end of the season - will give me something to do when I've got a bit of spare time in the summer. Might have dropped in price by then, too.

Im having bit of a weird problem.I bought a laptop for gaming and video editing. It's running GTA 5 at 60 frames per second on ultra settings no problem. However it can't play any of the truck simulator games smoothly.I can still enjoy both euro truck and american truck simulators but the games have this issue where they freeze every now and again for a few seconds. Both of those games should have no trouble playing because they aren't the most demanding games to run and GTA 5 on ultra settings is running on my system no problem.Maybe it's a windows 10 issue.

An update on this GTA 5 has full Xbox controller support. However some games don't offer that so i set up controls for those games on the Xpadder program. Both of the truck simulator games require me to have Xpadder switched on.However having an Xbox One control pad connected to the device with the Xpadder program turned on at the same time sent the temperatures on the laptop through the roof according to the readings i was getting on some temperature reading program i installed. That's why the game was freezing and stuttering.I reverted back to using an Xbox 360 PC controller and all is good.In short an Xbox One controller will work fine with the system so long as Xpadder is not turned on.Im not sure is it an issue with all gaming laptops but it most definitely is an issue with Alienware laptops.

#trucksimulators

You won't understand until you try playing one.

Picked up Rory McIlroy PGA Tour for £12 in the XB1 store and it is utter pants.

The gameplay is as you would expect from a Tiger Woods sequel, but everything is so dumbed down.
About half the courses and players of previous titles and nearly all the content from career mode has gone.

Whereas you could customise the hell out of your player in previous titles, you are now stuck with 12 preset faces and 9 preset hairstyles (no facial hair) and a good chunk of the career tournaments have gone as has the trophy cabinet and in depth stats sections.

Looks like they spent 90% of the developmenttime implementing the Frostbite 3 engine graphics and making that god awful 'Battlefield 3' themed course.

Highly disappointing :(

Might be late to the table here but after Rocket league being a fantastic indie game i have come accross another absolute gem.....

Bro Force.

I turned my nose up at it when i seen it as a give away game. Just thought 'another shooter? no thanks'.

Actually played it with a mate last week, fell in love. Imagine a tough 2d shooter that is designed to be over the top with the america in your face stuff. Plus you unlock characters as you rescure (pick up lives) that range from Mr t, chuck norris, predator, Men in black to Neo. All have their own weapons and powers to do, for example time cop can slow time, chuck norris hails an airstrike etc.

Absolutely love the game, its hard but a fun hard, got stuck fighting a tank that had bullets/mines/rockets/air strikes and liked to squash you as well. Took me a good while before i beat it and i didnt rage quit before i managed to get a good row of Bro's to deal enough damage.

FUMING!!!

just spent the last hour and a half doing the challenging Daily mission on the division. Just 3 of us get to the end kill the name boss got one normal bloke left to kill and...........

The game crashed for all 3 of us. All went back to the start.

FUMING!

Anybody played the 'sith edition' of the force unleashed ? I have been looking to buy it this week, I was going to buy it when it was released, sort of forgot about it until recently. Is it any good ? I played the previous two and thought they were good.
