Computer games.

As @Mikey_Fitzgerald is aware my retro gaming campaign has taken a new dimension this week with the purchase of a PlayStation 2.

Have to say it's aged alright. Much better than the Dreamcast which was the generation of 2 before but I've all but given up on.

Been playing Bully (Canem Canis Edit) which Rockstar should remake and Medal of Honor Frontline which is the one that starts off proper Saving Private Ryan. Again could make a boss remake these days.

SSX Tricky is on the way and it came with about 15 other games. Boss.

What memories and boss games do you lot remember from the PS 2?

Oh. The pro evos. Still boss and pee all over today's footy games for pyar footy joy.
Please don't tell me that you 'youngsters' are now deeming the PS2 as 'retro'. I feel old enough as it is having finally admitted to myself that my Saturn falls into that category. FFS :(

My halo review.

Mastercheif collection.

Really good, only played multiplayer but good thing is you can notice the difference between a halo 2 map and 3 map which is great for nolstalgia fans. Plan to one day play the campaigns in them all.

Con- anyone playing mulitplayer are elite players it seems so difficult to have a drop in and out game without dying alot.

Halo 5-

Campagin. playing currently albeit slowly. Actually rather run, looks great, loads of guns and vehicles to use. A little bit samey, walk down coridoor, giant room of enemies, repeat. But the flow is good and seems to be a bit of a story going on which relates to halo backstory so thats good.

Multiplayer- plays like an updated halo. Great fun, won some free for alls, come last in many more. No complaints about it

Warzone- brilliant mode. In short, a capture the base mode, with 24 real players and many more AI ones. You can call in better weapons and vehichles as you play and computer enemeies to rack up points as well. Great mode.

Cons- Story on campaign is a little mass effect. From the guardians, to the fact no-one listens to master chief still after 4 games of him being the hero. Some multiplayer maps are too big for a 6 man game, some are too big for a 12 man one. but they come and go.

Funnily enough so did I. And more bizarre is that I'm currently bidding on one of them on eBay, auction ends tomorrow and I'm currently top bidder...!
That's proper retro gaming! But id rather use a PC emulator as the experience of waiting 10 minutes for a game loading only to fail at the very last isn't something I look back on fondly.

I do both, I usually use an emulator to play the games, but I love actually owning the systems and adding to my collection so they can sit in my loft for years on end just pissing the wife off :)
