Computer games.

Good price point for PSVR. Obviously the tech is weaker than the Oculus/Vive, but if it's still decent in action I think Sony have a big leg up here. Most households don't have a high enough spec PC for the Oculus, which alone is 50% more expensive than the VR (Vive being twice as expensive). Not saying those two devices will bomb or anything, but in terms of the mass videogame market, Sony could have it cornered.

Ultimately games are what matters. At least for the PSVR, as Oculus/Vive will be aiming for wider adoption in other industries. I just hope devs resist the shallow, gimmicky route. I'm optimistic though. Been waiting a long time for practical VR gaming.

£350?!?!??

Lend us a tenner mate.

Plus you will have to buy a camera and move plus the game. Hmmmmm so throw an extra £150 on the price

Not true. Camera, yes. So really more like £380-390 base price. Move is optional. And what do you mean by "the game"? It's a platform. When you buy an Xbox or Playstation you don't include the cost of games in the base price. It's something you buy to play the content you'll be buying/playing for years to come.

Whether the VR holds up for years to come is the risk of course. But then buying games tech always has been a risk.

SAKE

And every single game I've seen looks almost the exact opposite to my sort of thing.

Gran Turismo being the odd one out that I'd defo love to try on VR. But not for that price. You can go on a decent track day in real car for that!!

these vr things always look brilliant and prob fun the first time, but the problem is you never know how good its gonna be long term..

my plan - convince/bully a friend to get one
