What is it. I have read wiki ... er .... But don't get it
It's just an augmented reality based faction driven MMO.
It uses GPS and you have to collect XM (exotic matter) as you move around. Apparently there's some deep storyline but Google haven't really revealed too much yet.
Just a bit of fun really. I'd rather be playing The Last of Us to be honest.

If you have GPS then your phone already tracks you.
The game just maps out your local area and you collect stuff.

I let my mate borrow Uncharted 1 and 2 and he said he hated them! Said he "got bored" of the climbing/jumping parts of the game.
He also hated Heavy Rain too after I lent him that
Heavy rain is awesome, that game had me addicted from beginning to end. Although uncharted is also superb, never had that effect.
Is the Last of Us that good ?

It's weird - the review sites are all over it like a rash, claiming it's the greatest game ever etc. (well, sort of...)
But I spoke to someone who played it who said it was an interactive movie which basically involved doing the same thing over and over again until you progressed to the next scene of said movie.
Who knows which one is true. It's probably somewhere in between.

If it's anything like Uncharted, it'll probably be a good experience that you didn't mind paying 40 quid for. But is somewhat lacking in conveying characters and narrative through gameplay rather than cutscenes.
That said, 12 IGNs out of 10.
