Just played the FF7 remake demo. I love it. Its what a modern JRPG should be, constant action mixed with battle-defining moments through commands given at the right times for the right abilities or spells.
My only slight complaint is I hope there is a hard mode at full release.

Finished it a hour ago myself. Felt, looked and played great. Definitely buying this.

Its all way more seamless than I imagined. Switching between party members and giving them commands is super easy. In a way, its actually really close to the original game just, instead of your characters waiting for the ATB bar to charge, they're moving, performing basic attacks, evading and guarding. Once you get ATB charges, you give commands just like before. I'm really pleased with how they've handled it.

I sat on the title screen just listening to the theme song for a good 20 minutes before playing the demo.

I'm working my way through the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition series (PS4) right now. The original, is STILL my favorite game ever. I cant wait for Baldur's Gate 3.

But.....FF7 is my second favorite game ever - and the playable demo is stunning. Roll on April 10.

Just reinstalled the demo for another go.
I really hope they get the later-game intricacies with materia right because this combat system has so much potential. Imagine if FF15 was more like this.

Might be on PS5 too, whenever that comes out. Though a pre-owned PS4 might be quite cheap now.
