Computer games.

I’ll be joining the PC master race soon.

It’s not a gaming supercomputer (I’m getting back into music production, but that’s another thread) but it will be powerful enough to run most modern games.

Got my eye on ‘Disco Elysium’ as my first purchase. looks like something right up my street and I’ve heard some good things about it.

Anyone played it? Opinions?

Intend to purchase it in a few months when I've more time to spare (as if), everything I've heard so far makes it seem like a must play

It's a cracking game. One of my games of the year for sure.

100% buy it - it’s an incredible game! Also nice getting back into music production, I’ve been considering doing the same

Thinking of getting this also, however looks a very strange type of game.
It’s very philosophical and introspective. Best way I’ve heard it described is that when it’s funny, it’s brutally funny, but when it’s serious it’s just straight up brutal.
It’s an absolute masterpiece, but not one to play if you’re not fancying dealing with very controversial and dark themes frequently

Is it possible to effectively use a game installed on an external hard-drive?

Mme Abelard wants to install the game where you race around the British countryside for her nephews, but it requires 60+ GB (!?!) and we don't have the space for it.

You can but if it's via Steam you might need to mess around so Steam knows you want to install games there.

If not, then just grab an SSD and if you aren't keen on mounting it inside your pc you can just grab an enclosure like this to turn it into an external USB drive.

Should be pretty easy with Steam imo. I have 3 hdds split into 4/5 partitions in my pc, with steam folders on 3 of them. I can install games to any of them, and I believe you can also move them just as easily from the games 'Properties' tab in your Steam Library. Alternatively just uninstall and reinstall it, and it will ask you where you want to put it.

Yep should be. But I had to fiddle around when I tried to change my primary Steam folder to my m.2 drive, probably just me being slow though, to be honest.

Starting the game might take a minute or two but should be fine once its going.
