You've summed up what i was saying to my mates before, EA and other producers won't like Playstations 'Trade in ! Please do it !' Stance.

Thats' why people like EA have signed agreements with Microsoft.

Microsoft have played a long term blinder even if in the short term, it seems bad, we will see games like FIFA, Battlefield and Assassins Creed will probably become Xbox exclusives.

There is absolutely no chance any of those games will ever be Xbox exclusives mate. Especially not FIFA.

can someone explain to me the bizarre culture of people watching other people play video games via internet streams ? its literally the most mind boggling **** ever, some guy gets 500,000 views per video of him playing Dayz and his videos are gash, its just him playing the game and talking like a an appalling geek.

Why would anyone watch someone else play a video game over the net when they could just play it themselves. I constantly see people posting on forums saying "HAY GUYS IM STREAMING MYSELF PLAYING *INSERT GAME* FOR 24 HOURS, COME ALONG AND JOIN THE FUN"... and then instead of people taking the piss out of him they all go "AWESOME DUDE"

I DUN GET IT

Well I guess it depends who you're watching, but I do it quite often. Sometimes to see what a game is like in action, sometimes as a tutorial on how to play a game. Sometimes just for the 'luls'. There's a guy on youtube called Quill18 whom I subscribe to. His videos are always interesting and amusing. Plus he got to go to Sweden recently for an early look at Europa Univarlis 4, which is pretty cool.

Call of Duty and it's billion clones have massacred traditional gaming. Completely dead in the water; mobile gaming is taking over simply because it offers something different - which hasn't occurred in console gaming for half a decade at the least.

Saw it coming a mile off, but I thought people would just say no. But they keep making the exact same game over and over again on the same graphic engines and people fork out £60 for it, so the entire industry has zero innovation and no desire to work to keep the consumer onside. So we now have a situation where the publishers can dictate to the consumer what happens, because they KNOW that they can slap a Call of Duty/Battlefield/Madden/FIFA sticker on a product and the masses will buy regardless.

Sad, sad times. FPS fans, this is your legacy - DRM driven ridiculousness.

Not sure how you think this is the FPS genre's fault. It's companies like EA that are to blame for this situation, and it started a long time ago with their sports franchises. The FPS genre is relatively new to that game...

I will pyar fume if the Xbox gets more exclusives.

The PS4 is ahead on the pre-order charts on the big retailers now as well, despite being announced later.

What is EA's agreement with MS? Surely the developers will develop for whatever consoles are gonna make them money? IF more people are going to buy PS4 they're hardly gonna stop developing it because they're not getting a few % of second hand sales are they?

Signed an exclusivity contract to get content early on Xbox, games like FIFA and BF4.

I've got a PS3 and a 360 but it's a shame because these versions will likely be watered down compared to the PS4 and XBone. If I could play it on my PC I could probably match it's settings on the new consoles. I don't get too hyped about games these days but by god is this game an exception.

As a fellow MGS fan i know what you mean in that excitement. We don't get games coming out very often like cod or assassins creed so were allowed to nerd out!

Uh.... there's a ton of innovation going on in gaming. Indie studios are thriving.
