It really does mate, it REALLY REALLY does... you're just perhaps not that technically clued up when it comes to graphics
For starters the difference in the quality of AA is night and day, no one in hell either console will be runnin 8x SUPER SAMPLING AA + an extra layer of 8x Sparse Grid Supersampling.

The graphical horsepower of the PS4/Xbox One is much higher than any consumer level desktop PC which was available in 2007. The graphics on next gen games are superior and the consoles themselves have more powerful hardware than 2007 computers.
The above is from the upcoming next-gen console game 'The Division'. It looks streets ahead of vanilla Crysis.
