Somehow I've managed to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Win10 without buying it, with no digital key... how.
MS have offered free 10 upgrades on a lot of builds...8 wasn't well received so most of us stuck with 7 for quite a while.

Not complaining! Outer Worlds on PC is so much better than console for me.
They are different games (while looking similar). But IMO, The Outer Worlds is, ahem, worlds better. Borderlands is a shoot 'n loot, whereas TOW is an RPG.How does something like The Outer Worlds compare to Borderlands??

2K/Gearbox can liquidate themselves as wellVery few games not better than Borderlands 3. Steaming pile of tosh
Seriously though, with both those games, it's weird how "clean" everything is. Especially Fallout 4.
Fallout 3/NV had it right with a more gritty aesthetic - it's supposed to be rough/post-apocalyptic yet everything is shining, not a speck of dirt out of place.
It's jarring when you consider they are RPGs.

At some point, around the time Windows 10 came along, Microsoft introduced a digital key which is tied to your Microsoft account and can activate multiple products if it was originally upgraded from certain versions. I don't know exactly how it works. I upgraded from 7 on day 1 and ever since then, never needed to buy a license key despite multiple new systems, only thing that stayed the same was the SSD.Somehow I've managed to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Win10 without buying it, with no digital key... how.
