Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PC....November 5th!!!!!

YEEEESSS!!!!! I got it on the Xbox, but just can't stand playing with a controller, so abandoned it awaiting the PC version, patiently.
That news has made my freaking year !!! Not long to wait either.

Well said! Having two hands spread eagle over 20 different buttons while trying to watch a screen was a nightmare for me.

Not to press you on the point but are you saying theres more commands we are missing on a controller, or its way you can order them on the pad?
Only flight Sims have loads of buttons all over the keyboard. Most of what you need is with the space of one hand. Then the other in the mouse. And today's mouse is a completely different proposition to the mouse of yesteryear.

Gaming mouse's (mice??) Might look a bit daft, but ergonomically they are spot on, and also bring a lot of functionally to your fingers without having to barely move.

I know it is 100% personal, but I feel you can get way more out of games using the kb & most combo.

Same, great news - I've played it on the console but didn't buy it.

To be completely honest, I was only somewhat impressed by it (thought the original is a lot better) but hopefully the inherent advantages a PC has makes it a lot better.

Yup, I have held off buying it again as Deep down I presumed it would get a pc release...just want them to do a remaster of the original now... for us mouse scrapers.

Doom 2016 was a very different game with a mouse and keyboard, I could actually up the difficulty.. something I can rarely do on consoles. The aiming and movement is on a whole different level.

It being on the PC won't help with the repetition and boredom of the experience. Hopefully it will help with the bafflingly rubbish controls.

It looks great and is fun for the first 10-20 hours. Not so much after that.

Mostly agree. But the controls were so off putting that if they alone are improved then it should be enjoyable to a degree as a wild West sandbox game. Similar to how I haven't played the story in GTA5 since finishing it once but can still pop it on and have a mess around.

Its absolutely dull

Not played it yet, does it control similar to GTA 5 ?
It's more complicated. It's not necessarily difficult, just fiddly. Buttons have different uses based on your position/situation but I found the game would quite often be way too sensitive to where you needed to be standing. I was constantly punching my horse by mistake. Sometimes I'd draw my gun on people when wanting to respond (one particularly fun example of this was in a crowded police station).

It's an incredible game in a lot of ways but in my opinion it is pretty flawed too. It's very rare for me not to finish a game but haven't been able to bring myself to finish this yet with only a chapter and the epilogue to go.

Been absolutely loving Hellblade this weekend - picked it up cheap on PS4, and as someone who suffers with BPD and mental health issues I’ve been astounded at how accurate and well-done the portrayal is in this game - for the price it’s at now I’d highly recommend giving it a go (worth bearing in mind though, the game is insanely intense and borderline horror at some points)
Yeah it's a decent playthrough. Games Pass for pc/Xbox too
