Computer games.

Might have been when I tried it - got my first welcome pack full of bronze cards, played against someone with a full deck of world class players that where somehow much faster than they should be,

Never tried it since.
The gameplay on FUT is ramped up so it massively favours fast players. It’s just lofted through ball after lofted through ball to an average Premier League winger who goes for silly money because he’s quick.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve added Fortnite dances for goal celebrations.

Torn about pre-ordering the outer worlds, looks brilliant, but not sure I can actually justify £50 for it to be played for about 2 hours a week. Recently bought Madden and barely scratched the surface.

Painful isn’t it. I’ve recently got back in to gaming after a hiatus but I’m much busier now so I only really get Friday nights and a bit of my Sunday afternoon to play. I have been known to lie to my girlfriend about being ill so I can play games.

The absolute state of me lol

In a world of micro transactions and loot boxes I must say I’m impressed with Polyphonic for continuing to provide free updates for GT Sport each month 2 years after it was released. They continuously tweak the game and it gets better and better. One of the best £15 I’ve ever spent.

You can pay for cars with real life money if you want but it’s not necessary at all as you win most of the good cars and the others aren’t stupidly priced in relation to what you earn.

FIFA Ultimate team is an absolute disgrace to the industry.
Bought this on the store a couple of weeks ago. Considering I thought it was just an online game, think I've played it once online. Trying to complete all the missions and circuit missions but got a few silvers. Play it every day and I've got soo much still to do.

I did the driving school but not much after that. I found the AI way too easy even on the hardest difficulty. Give online a proper go, there’s a good ratings and penalty system which rewards fair racing and punishes the idiots who try and ram you. I’ve had some really intense and fair races on there. I’ve played a few racing games online before and they pale in comparison to GT Sport. It’s on a different level. The FIA even run events.

Why do you feel like you need to pre-order it?

Just buy it when it is out and you think you have time to play it

I understood it in the early 2000's when buying physical copies, you could nab a day off work and guarantee to get the game...but now with digital being there all the time with no limit to actual numbers, hehehehe its madness I tells ya. I spose you could argue though (especially if using the Playstation store) if your slightly late you can wait 5 hours downloading it on the day, then waiting a further hour or two to install the thing...half your day off could be spent watching a download bar, preordering the game nullifies that. It can download the night before so it's ready and waiting for the morning. With a pc and Steam though, downloading even a 50 gig game takes less than an hour for me. No reason for pc gamers to ever preorder.

Does anyone have numbers regarding global sales of FIFA from years ago before micro transactions took hold, to now or at least 2019 edition?

I’d be interested in the numbers

Micro transactions is bigger than actual sales revenue these days I know, but I’m curious if less people are purchasing the game.

A proper cancer on gaming.
