Commercial performance - post TFG

Not sure the dial moved all that much mate, we essentially exploited a loop hole. We stiill lost close to £60 mill without using that loophole.
I know what you mean but the figures are the figures.
Turnover is up and losses down regardless of why.
The same results from player trading wouldn't / shouldn’t generate any whataboutism, so flogging the old stadium shouldn’t either imho.

Obviously room for improvement, but hopefully the new ground revenue, plus the improved commercial deals should follow up in a positive way.

I wasn’t really mate…in fact we’ve known about that £57.6 mill loss since January - I’m pointing it out really to provide objectivity on the health of the business- the media are reporting this loss in a very positive way, suggesting huge progress has been made - when organically the loss was more then the last full year under Moshiri.
Frankly, these numbers will become irrelevant once we're past PSR.

The signs of progress are on the top line, getting the wages down as a % of revenue, and the balance sheet. TFG had some impact on the top line, wages as a % of revenue would have happened regardless and they had little control over, and then obviously full credit for the balance sheet.

The comments about 25% increase in revenues for 25/26 are obviously a huge positive as well.

Yes mate we know, PSR will be SCR at the end of this financial year.

I was commenting really in how the figures were being reported, as a minor loss when really we exploited a loop hole and without our loss is higher then year before - the relevance really is commenting in the general state of 5e club in transition and early days - 6 months under new ownership, while also the scope of early deals for BMD while still at Goodison.

I noticed there was no evidence of a settlement with Burnley either…..

49.2million profit from the sale of the women’s team and Goodison Park

So Goodison has been sold too? Separate sales?

I think we could have 'sold' the women's team and Goodison for considerably more than that, but obviously the will to do so wasn't there.

Was wondering about how they came to the price for what was sold myself.
Unless they wanted to show a loss for tax reasons not sure why they wouldn’t have bumped it up a few million more.
Good point though, I can’t recall if it was Goodison that was sold or just the woman’s team.

It's not just the +25% increase in revenue that will boost profitability from now on but also the fact club will pay something like 20 million less for the loans. We were absolutely drowning in those payments until TFG took over and restructured them.

Add to that the exceptional costs of £11.2m to former employees, that you would hope will be less of a norm in years to come.

I may be wrong but wasnt it 115 million spent on completing the stadium with it now built I imagine construction costs. changes made since will be in the millions but will be minor in comparison, without that spent on finishing the stadium alone would of put us in the green.
