Commercial performance - post TFG

But it does. Whether you like it or not.
I don't like it ... but my personal rule, based on observation, is that only crap things need broad range blunderbuss advertising to sell. Quality sells itself, or by word of mouth

Its very very rare that I buy things advertised ... mainly because the brand pees me off by causing visual or auditory litter.

Sadly there are enough people that can be manipulated into parting with their money for tat, that it will never go away.

There's a reason companies pay to advertise, they are not fools.

Like it or not, it's here to stay, and the more advertising dollars the club gets, the more it can spend on the squad.

They're not fools - they're paid well to deceive, but they accept that their product is so turd that they to spend millions to sell it to fools. And the cost of that is passed onto the fools who buy.

The fault lies not with the advertisers desperate to sell, but with the weak minded public it works on. Emperor'S new clothes and all that.

That's what I said.

Not sure the dial moved all that much mate, we essentially exploited a loop hole. We stiill lost close to £60 mill without using that loophole.
Were we expecting better? They'd only been in a few months for those accounts - and we were still at Goodison. This time next year will tell the real story...

I wasn’t really mate…in fact we’ve known about that £57.6 mill loss since January - I’m pointing it out really to provide objectivity on the health of the business- the media are reporting this loss in a very positive way, suggesting huge progress has been made - when organically the loss was more then the last full year under Moshiri.
