Coleman

What's that seven matches at fb for Seamus now?

I hoped that this year he'd get a proper run there but I honestly wasn't expecting it. Well in.

Yeah, i criticise Moyes for his (non) use of inexperience and youth but he's done well to give Coleman a run of games there, thats called giving them a chance.

Sure it took over 2 years of playing at right mid and injuries to other players but he got the chance ahead of Heitinga/Jagielka and has done well enough to make the place his own.

Its when Gibson and Hibber are fit that the real test comes.

Me neither. I remember you in particular saying that and I thought it was optimistic to expect that of Coleman. I doubted his ability to play at RB, especially in big games but he's proving me wrong. Made up for him.

Played well today but laughed at his yellow when Coates had three fouls and didn't see yellow for persistent fouling.

He could have done better for their first goal, like, but that's the sort of thing you learn. He looked liked he knew what he was doing is the main thing.

Its one of those where if the ball broke to Naismith who got away down the right and we scored it was great play from Coleman, as it is it broke to them who exploited the space in behind.

If he'd have stood off and got beat people would say he should have gone in to win the tackle.

Yeah he's proved he's well worthy of the RB spot. As others have said he will make mistakes and if hibbert/Neville are available id still be weary of starting Coleman away at the top 3 or 4 clubs for now but he'd be starting pretty much all our home games if it were up to me.

No debate about the RB now. The shame of it is that this development could and should have happened over a season ago. He just needed game time to get himself sorted out in this position in a blue shirt - a position that he'd always nailed down elsewhere. The reason for the delay is that it's only this season that Moyes has seriously looked at using both flanks to attack down.

Still doesn't fill me with confidence defensively like but going forward he's an asset and it's nice to see more than the 1 dimensional left sided attacking.

He overcommitted for the first but I can see why he did it. Overall he has to be first choice right back now as he's coming on game by game and will be a very good player for us for years to come.
