Just a thought and i dont know if anyone else has done a previous thread on this, but after watching the Villa game at the weekend and seeing coleman come on in front of Hibbert playing almost as a winger made me think.. We know that he has some defensive frailties and moyes is using him very sparingly so how about using him in the right midfield role and let him do what he does best bomb forward attack defenders and cross quality balls in, that way Moyes wouldnt have to worry to much about him making defensive errors and Coleman would get much needed first team experience and could also be the problem solved for our right sided midfield problem with the added bonus that he has got genuin pace... Just a thought..:)

Totally agree robisok, I was thinking exactly the same when he danced around two defenders and pulled the ball back across goal on Sunday, he could be the next flying winger we have all been crying out for and to be honest what have we got to lose, we have been [Poor language removed] wide right all season so why not give him a go.

was thinking the same thing the other day and would be a good way to bed a player into the big time without chastising him too much when he makes a mistake, just look at Bale at Tottenham, I'm pretty sure he isn't getting played at left back any more is he?

Drop Cahill for a few matches to get his hunger back, I reckon the Oz trip took a bit out of him, play Ossie as a supporting striker with Mikel & Felli in the middle & Billy on the left, reckon Pienaar's been distracted too so a game or 2 on the bench may do him good

Exactly, Assou-Ekkoto pretty much fills the left back role for Spurs on a permanent basis now, with Bale bombing forward and scoring for fun.

This is where 'arl Seamie should be playing, for me. The right sided problem doesn't just lie with the full back, they're there to defend, but with the wide midfield player, Seamus could use his pace and good crossing to our benefit here, big time.

Said it Vs Bham last year in Cup . Turn them fukas around . Seamus was MADE for it .

I DIG young Shay , btw .

Just sayin' , like .

Could be a great temporary solution to RM problem until Anichebe comes back? At least it would be better than Osman as RM and if this would give Coleman more playing time, then it certainly worth while.

No, they aren't. Just like in current football top coaches doesn't judge their centre forwards strictly on scoring goals...

Full backs in modern football are the players who's aften are the only ones who have a free space ahead of them, therefore their attacking is as important as defending.

And somebody mentioned Osman as a attacking midfielder - have mercy, he's even worse there than as RM these days, for reasons I am not should about, as theoretically it should fit him better than being a deeper playing central midfielder.

I'd still use him at right back and use more proper right sided player with pace...Victor fits that list easily, could do a job like Kuyt does for the [Poor language removed].

Coleman would be more effective when he uses his pace, tricks on the overlap and crosses and will deffo win you pens when he overlaps and goes into the box
