Dushku

Player Valuation: £1m
We have a major problem at Everton. Strikers. They come, they play, they get crocked, and they can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo - In essence they come to Everton and they fail! But why is this ? We get players in on form, don't we ? Saha, the Yak, Beckford, Silva - all proven goalscorers in their own leagues , but once they don the Blue of Everton, they become changed men. Now this Jekyll and Hyde scenario cannot be just.. coincidence now can it ?

Who is mentoring these guys in training, sharing with them their extensive knowledge of goal scoring prowess ? Just using Tottenham as an example, they have / had the likes of : Clive Allen, Kevin Bond, Joe Jordan, Tim Sherwood, Les Ferdinand and Tony Parkes ( Goalkeeping) to fall back on to give advice to their youngsters / struggling stars.

Could you imagine the impact Les Ferdinand would have on Jermaine Beckford ?!! The man used to score against us for fun!!

Just who is our striking coach and what the [Poor language removed] is he doing with our players to make them so bad!!! :(:(

I can't name one effective offensive coach at the club, but I can name three defensive ones.

Moyes, Round, Stubbs.

Go figure.

funny thing is how many times DM is in Wood's ear during the game id love to hear what thats all about

to stop me from pulling my hair i convince myself he has asked him a question about TIM howard

Should we be concentrating on bringing cultured World class coaches to Everton to supplement our defensive, fitness, and work-rate orientated values? I reckon this will attract even more promising talent, and rather than us wanting to blow £20mil on one player's creative input,we'd have the opportunity to improve our own players further.
Thoughts???

Has anyone related to the club had the amazing idea to ask Duncan Ferguson to be a coach? Motivation would not be needed then, too. I mean him or FFS anyone who can teach them to shoot, or just isn't an ex-defender. All of our coaching staff are ex-defenders... go figure why we don't have the most exciting/talented attacking players with us, huh?

Call me crazy, but shouldn't coaches be the people who help the players improve in all areas, not only defending as it stands with us?
Over-emphasize on 'defense/defenders', obviously.

Sorry if I wasn't clear chaps,I reckon we have plenty of fitness,et al, emphasis at coaching
Level already, but wouldn't it be better to spend $ long-term on bringing a cultured coach or two to Everton,
Like (extreme example)Zidane who'll teach our players techniques to break down the opposition in the last 3rd
. Whilst Big Dunc's got plenty to offer,it won't be this 'culture'.

I get where you're at mate, just that I think that one 'Zidane'-esque coach is needed as you said for breaking down the opposition, but also a cultured (ex)striker, who knows what it is to score a goal, can motivate players and was a good striker overall, who can really show them how to shoot, etc. And for me, Dunc is all that - on his day there weren't many better. Plus he gets what Everton is all about, which will be the biggest bonus of all with someone like that.
