'Project Restart': Premier League ramps up plans for resuming season

Plans to resume the Premier League season will step up this week in what has been labelled "Project Restart".

Why dont they just say they are planning to just play the two games the RS need to win the league and then cancel if ffs, it's so crazily obvious that is what they are going to do

At this stage I think it is more about money than winning Liverpool the trophy. There are huge sums that could be lost and unfortunately we would be hurt as badly as everyone else.
The title is well tarnished at this stage anyway.
We won't see any of the trappings that go with a league victory.. no presentation in front of your home crowd, no open top bus tour around the city.
By the time it is finished, if they manage to get it done, the interest will have switched to the following season.

I could see last season being used as a kind of pre season for the following season as clubs are not going to be travelling all over the world to play games anyway.
If they could get all the games played in one day they would happily do so.

If you think for one second their fan base won't celebrate it on par with any other title then you're as deluded as they are mate....
The same fanbase that openly parade steaua flags in the derby, conveniently ignoring their own fans part in the deaths of 39 that contributed to it,

As was said the scum will play the 2 or 3 games to win the Corona asterisk PL trophy and then play youth teams

Absolutely bizarre to read online that people are even thinking about football returning. Until social distancing measures are completely relaxed, football can't start. How on earth can a contact sport be played when the government mandates that people should remain 2 meters apart? That's before you even get into the issues surrounding testing, medical support for games, inevitable gathering of fans to watch the game (either in each other's homes or at some kind of venue).

It really just is crazy that it's even under discussion. People are dying - football can wait.
