No arguments from me on why we should end the season now, unfortunately some people running the game seem to only see the £ signs. It's disgusting.

You asy that, and a premier league level it's probably true.

How do the likes of Accrington Stanley, Tranmere etc pay their players/staff without matchday income? All a big fuss really, Euros will get postponed, play the remaining games over summer and then have a smaller gap between end and new season.

Someone I work with knows someone at a Premier League board, said the potential of 2 games a week from the first time they can start playing a game is possibility.

Honestly if it lasts the rest of the year, the economic fallout will essentially render the Premier League in its current form defunct.

No way will that type of money be thrown around with the ensuing mass job losses and homelessness etc (or maybe it will but we won't be able to afford the tickets or sky subscriptions).
Maybe the players will come out and say they will cut there wages by at least half

Considering they are having a mid season break now and so few games left it seems doable, but it will all come down to the date they can actually start again.

If they cancel this season and start again next season will that void all stats, poor DCL will look cack again.

There are loads of drug companies working flat out to get a cure. Read before that a US company sent a HIv drug and the ebola vaccine out to China and it had good results. Think Trump.has allocated 3.6 billion to finding a cure. Now an Australian company has come out with this

Just about every expert that I have listened to agree that it will be at least twelve months or more before an effective vaccine will be in place.
It would be wonderful if something could happen sooner but I think it is very unlikely.

Trump has been full of nonsense since this crisis started and has been wildly inaccurate and misleading in just about everything he has said.

Very unlikely they play in May/June considering it’s meant to be at its height in that period.

That's what it will probably boil down to. Same contact I have at a premier league club said they'll be amazed if games resume on apr 6th or whatever the restart date was.

A decision has to be made soon, this virus isnt going to clear up any time soon, there is no way the Euros will go ahead so just make the call, scrap it,there will be fixtures to sort, contracts running out, transfers to make, there is no way it can be extended

call time on this season now, forget knobs in the press (the Mail today) saying the season MUST be finished, could you imagine another injury like Gomes got? what player would want to go to hospital now just over a game ?
I know, same with the extra work it gives emergency services, its just not right, if Liverpool were real socialists they themselves would be calling it off for the good of the people

How does that work when loads of players and possibly managers/coaching staff will have the virus?
