I remember the Sean Davis saga, was devastated when the deal fell through, think we dodged a bullet there because correct me if i'm wrong but did we not sign Tim Cahill instead not too long after?

think we got cahill the season after, after davies fell through i think it was the summer we got nige, jeffers, faddy an zinedine

Yeah that's the fellow. Had the talent, like but never seemed to dominate games like you would expect.

Bit like Bily in that you could see there was a player there but it never really came together in this league. Lucky miss for us, I think.

Yep he was crap.Getting him mixed up with traore before.

Naughton would have cost 4.5 million wouldn't he? But Tottenham offered nine for both him and walker. And we picked up Coleman instead for 50 grand.

Same with Delph, Villa paid 5 million and we grabbed Gibson for 500,00 instead.

I think nzogbia has gota be one of the best dodged bullets. A very expensive bullet at that!

Also very glad we missed out on Ramsey naughton an rierra?? Was it the guy who went to Liverpool.

I think we were close to signing Maxi Rodriguez at one time before he signed for the RS. Apparently one question the American owners put to Dalglish was "Why are we paying this guy £100,000 a week when he never play for us?"
