Simple question, other than a stupid fee, why would Palace want to sell him ?

I know they've just taken Loftus Cheek on loan, but the rest of their striking options ain't too good.

Plus you have to fancy them for being in or around the bottom of the table again.

Perhaps, but he doesn't appear to want a like-for-like replacement for Lukaku, he seems to want a big, strong target man who can play with his back to goal - we've had links to Giroud, Benteke, Jorgensen, Dzeko, Bas Dost, Willian Jose, Zapata, etc etc

He seems to want this option, so you'd have to assume that he'll be adapting the way we play sometimes to accommodate it

It's nice for us to be ripped off though, after all the years of supping at bowls of gruel we're finally in a position to be taken advantage of financially. It's a bold new dawn.

I'd rather we spent incoming cash more wisely.

Walsh is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Because we have them over a barrel. FDB has him for his transfer kitty and they wont get a straight off cash payment handing it to him it from any other club.

They paid £27M upfront. They'll want shut. Benteke is not a FDB type of striker.

I can't see it personally. With the fees we've been spending and receiving this window, I feel like it's us more than them who are over a barrel in terms of what Benteke would command.

Final 10 days. They'll cough him up to someone for £30M.
 
Maybe Ronko wants a big Belgium forward who can hold up the ball as well as slotting 17 for a poor palace side.

Someone said 'why would palace sell?' How about to give big frank some funds to build his team? Maybe player wants out?
