and the lescott story as well....

I think he is trying to make a point ghost, we all know where this is going...

Hopefully it may not go down that road.

But if it does I will not be renewing next season, and I will probably move on in my life.

I know older fellas who used to be fanatical, but then have become less so as they have got older. Rather than put all your energies into something that disappoints constantly, I would try to enjoy my life elsewhere.

Well I struggle to get my near £500 for my ST each year, after the joke that was this and last Summer, they are gonna have to pull out all the stops this Summer to keep me.

Well it's my first season back for a while, and yeah only fools rush in. I don't buy all this - it's Everton, and always will be. Thick and thin, all weathers, [Poor language removed] teams, good times bad times. Whatever. I want to smile when I watch Everton. Bottom line.

Ghost you are asking too much.
Our benchmark should be walter smith era and anything better than that is consider an achievement to be proud of.

I recall 04, I was proper skint, really didnt see how I could afford it, I had convinced myself that I wasnt gonna renew. But 1 player made me renew, Wayne Rooney, no way could I miss watching him all season, I had spent the previous season going to most away games as well, Frigging Shrewsbury.............. And we finished 17th, but that wasnt a factor.

Then we sold him.

I scraped money together at the end of my student days for what turned out to be Walter Smith's last full season. I think we scored 1 goal in the first 4 or 5 home games, that was it for me.

I think that was the first season I started going again. I missed a good few years due to job that made me work Saturdays. That was back when matches where actually played a Saturday.

Can't see him going just yet. Keep him here for another season or two and add at least 10 mill to Chelsea's offer.

But then on the other hand if we carry on like this what future does Everton have?
