Of course. I suspect the fans are a little bit ahead of the owners on Moyes, though. We know what he is and isn't capable of. The owners might be very satisfied with him, and mid-table might be fine for them this season. If they are, I think they'll prove to be transitional owners - necessary for stabilising us, but bereft of real ambition, and whose main intention is to flip the club (stadium) when the opportune moment comes.
Not the most outlandish senario ever
Some people convince themselves that these owners will sack if Moyes is not top half. I see no evidence for that. As keen as I am to see a new manager in the summer backed by serious ambition, I strongly suspect Moyes will hang on as these guys are happy with nursing their investment in mid-table obscurity. If they are truly ambitious, I think they'll make a change in the summer

or risk being very disappointed with Moyes in time.
This is why I was not totally pleased with the who.e 'Vibe' of his appointment...I mean its Moyes ffs.

But like I think you (or somebody) said - we're...some of us...are further ahead on the 'How will Moyes go' curve than TFG.
In the short term both we and TFG got lucky with Sean-I can't take them any further-Dyche's replacement.
The longer he stays, we will probably go to consolidate where we are now - 14th to 8th in our little yo-yo section of the League and compared to this time last year that's pretty good. so fairplay to all.
Moyes can - on past form take us into the top half of our mini yo-yo League - 9th to 5th on a good day

But to my mind, with a medium to long term (3 yrs+) Moyes there always seems to be a law of diminishing returns.
Because deep down

Moyes will be Moyes.

1994 is a long time but the abramovich era happened 9 years later and inbetween those 9 years chelsea had the likes of zola, hasselbaink, vialli, Gullitt, wise, poyet, le saux, lebouef, desailly, gudjohnssen, petit, a young John Terry and a young Frank Lampard

It’s impossible to compete with their wealth and quality players

We need to catch them on an off day and play well to have a chance at their gaff

Soz, pal, but just blatant after the eventism. KDH feels his hamstring slightly, gets selected, and a scores 2 to get us a draw or win. Appalling decision by Moyes, then? Easy to sneer from behind the barricades after the event and when your judgement carries zero consequences.

Its the butterfly effect as another poster pointed out. If KDH hadnt played or had been used differently then another circumstance occurs.

As for "after the event", I think i made my feelings consistently clear after KDH signed up until now - hes an 8.

People calling for Moyes head cos we were unfortunate to lose to a team that is light years ahead of ours with a depleted squad. Laughable. Also, did I imagine cucarrella going in 2 footed on someone today the little rat?

I dont see anyone calling for Moyes to go. What posters are saying is that the decisions smack of short termism and favouritism.

For this, some posters are unhappy and disappointed because they are looking beyond this season.

Think your missing a point. The wingers don't trust Barry or Beto. When you've got an England International who's played with the very best, and a player with good skills either side; are you REALLY going to work your backside off to supply such an inept striker with a good consistent supply. Players arn"t stupid! They don't think the same as what comes out of their mouths in interviews and reactions truthfully about their team mates.

Just last week Ndiaye ran the pitch and setup Barry. Grealish seems to prefer to ball hog and then look for an opportunity like at City.

However, we dont play and shouldnt play the same way as City.

Who on earth voted for Keane as MOM. The lads poor. Some people reckon he's been good this year. I'm sorry but I just don't see it. I've never played with or watched a centre half who gets dragged out of position or switches off so much in my life. I'd rather see him playing centre forward.

Even if Keane did have a great season he has no pace and so we have gaps between defence and midfield.

If it's true KDH was feeling his hamstring before the game it was utterly stupid to play him in a game that we invariably lose when we have busy Christmas fixtures and are losing two permanent fixtures in the first team to AfCon Still at least it gives Moyes his excuses to use in his press conferences. My only hope is that he ends up having no choice but to play Dibling and Aznou over Christmas and they play so well he has to use them. Already worried about the FA Cup with KDH out and that being our last chance to do anything this season.
