Agreed. Cahill makes the 4-5-1. In a 4-4-2 though I can't see where he'll fit in. It really depends on what Moyes goes for next season.

Ofcourse he can but he's not the best option for the attacking role. Fernandes or Osman would be. Far more creative and its best to have a creative midfielder alongside a ball winner.

Regardless of formation (and excluding Reidy's eleven man midfield), I say Cahill plays.

Cahill is vital in any side or formation we play, his aggression, passion and ability to pop up with a goal is vital to this team.

Who cares about a starting 11, them days are gone boys. Wether cahill is better or not is erelevent anymore. It's all about the squad,an if we want to be up their we need a big squad full of quality.

4-4-2 or 4-5-1 depends on who we play an what players are avalible. IF we buy this lad for 18m (doubt it) i cant see moyes leaving him or the yak on the bench that often.

This could all be bollocks, we'll just have to wait an see who comes in.
