The down side of both of them exiting the CL is it’ll allow them to just focus on their league form more, which may not be a positive thing for us

My biggest wish when we qualify is having the ability to qualify regularly, so it’s not just a one-off. It only being a one-off would be a bit disappointing, especially if it took us ages to qualify again. To raise the club’s profile and attract better players means doing it every year. That’s a massive jump for us from where we are now.

Qualifying as a one-off is a big step up for us as a club. Qualifying every year is a massive step up. An even bigger step is to be in it every year and progress within the comp each time, getting to the latter stages of the knock outs. Winning it would be absolutely glorious!

We would drop into the Europa. However I would like to think it is highly unlikely for both them scenarios. Ideally we need both Chelsea and RS out the Champions League ASAP so we can get this elephant out the room.
