Player Valuation: £60m
Cannot wait to get a new pair. Absolutely bang average the pair of them. Give us no platform to build on.

When we signed Williams I thought we were getting a man mountain that carries the team forward, just completely the opposite. He's barely in the game.

They absolutely killed us today. Couldn't deal with Liverpool's front players.

I worry we won't get Keane now as he appears to be in the limelight so loads will want him.

But yeah. We need a whole new lot back there.

It's just killed us. Look how hard it's been for Lukaku to get a kick. Their lads have had the freedom of the park.

That bit where the pacy Emre Can made up about 15 yards on Jags in a straight foot race..

Looks like he's carrying an extra stone tbh.

From apparently being one of the quickest players in the PL he now blows out of his backside - it's like he has grown lead legs

Its age lad. 3 of them are well over 30. Baines jags and williams. You cant play 3 of them in a premiership match against the top 6. They get torn apart. We didnt have any other options today but thats due to a lack of spending in the transfer markets last 2 windows. We need 7/8 players who will push for starting 11. Need to ship out the old men. We have players like gana snides coleman barkley who should take the role of experienced players now. Bringing on barry who actually cant even run now says it all about our squad in relation to getting into top 6 or 4. We are 7th and player wise still a good bit off 6th

Most concerning part of the entire team.

Jagielka looks almost if not fully done at this level - certainly he doesn't have anyother season at this level in him
Mori - looked short at this level - and a season ending injury isn't gonna exactly improve him when he's back
Williams - utterly dreadful, everything he was billed as being - leader, organiser, composed and great positioning, he is the complete opposite of and looks like he was past it and maybe never as good as he was advertised at Swansea either
Holgate, Galloway, Pennington, all possibly got good futures ahead of them, but none look ready to be a starting cb (100% not ready in a back 4)

Genuinely need 3 starting top 4 calibre centre backs for next season

I get your point but plenty of defenders go on to play at the top end of world football well into their 30s. The difference with our boys is class. What made them good defenders are the sort of attributes that diminish with age. Having now got to the point when their pace starts to go they now rely more on the technical/finesse side of the game which unfortunately isn't in abundance. Still good players but not as good as we need.

We need new CB's, but Pennington was the culprit today. Williams played a big part in the third goal, but everyone was out of it for that one. Jags was very solid today, but he needs to be moved on.
