Our family cat growing up never did it, neither do my mate’s cats, genuinely only ever seen this little weirdo do it.
Why Do Cats Loaf or Tuck Their Paws Under Them? ... Cats do this when they are feeling safe and comfortable—if they're sitting like this, they probably think that they don't need to use their claws anytime soon! They also sit in such a way to conserve body heat.

She never does it with both paws, always just the one. Doesn’t make any sense.
 

They are hunters, of course we have domesticated them a lot, but their primal instinct is to hunt.

Fascinating creatures, not like those smelly dogs.

Yeah they’re superb, could easily survive out in the wild, not like dogs that would just give up and go out with a whimper.
