Rotary engines are great for power to weight ratio, a cousin of mine has got an RX8 and i haven't spoke to him for a while but last time i did he was loving the car.

Except mine has really cool wheels which sold it in my eyes!

It's 1.5 which is the smaller engine I've ever had and boy do I notice it!!

Boss cars mate, meant to be very reliable which is typical of Jap motors and imo they're one of the better looking compact cars on the road. Get some pics up i wanna see the wheels :)

My new motor will be 5 series GT. jan or feb 2013, 3 series is okay, but I've fallen in love with the GT

Cheers. As you know reliability was the key here while still looking at least a little bit cool.

I'll try and get some pics up (never worked out how to get my own pics on here the entire time I've been on this forum!!). They are like the grey of the car but a bit darker. Look kinda mean if that makes sense.

1998 Volvo S70 GLT in navy. 100k miles just gone. Leather interior, turbo (good for the snidey on-ramps in Connecticut etc.), and weird **** like seat-heaters.

Very reliable car for us, and particularly useful in cold weather, being a Swedish-made one. Great traction, handling, loads of boot space.

Its not a very nice looking car (1998 like), but it's perfect for us. Also very high in safety ratings, which will come in handy when me and the missus decide to have little ones. Mileage isn't great (about 22 MPG), but we use the subway for commuting so this is only used every now-and-then for big trips on highways when I would take safety over MPG anyway. Still holds value pretty nicely, these are going for around $6,000 even now.

The same car in the UK would struggle to get £700 trade value, maybe a £1,000 private sale.
Its remarkable how fast cars in the UK de-value.
A significant reason is the hammering they take of our poor quality roads, constant stop start on our small island and the cold, damp weather.
Most cars simply do not last beyond 10 years and with the high price of fuel, anything averaging 32mpg or below is avoided by the masses.
There was a 04 plate 2.5l v6 x-type went through the auction recently with 140k on the clock, struggled to make £650 and it was mint.
the european emissions standards has killed most big petrol engines.

Quality bit of parking, in the dark as well!
