What I normally do is, get my hoe to make them.

I cant cook at all, I burnt a pot noodle once.

But my Grandad used to make the best poached eggs in the entire world, they where delightful, so whenever somebody says poached eggs, I think of him.

I miss my pappy, going to cry, back soon.

Just google it chico lid.

Coincidentally, my Grandad makes the best poached eggs in the world.

Can't be doing with that google so Im trying to make use out of this place, as I sometimes wonder what benefit I get from being on here? I mean, you're all tits basically.

You can only poach fresh eggs, otherwise you end up with egg soup.

Don't have the water boiling too vigourously, a good simmer.

Crack the egg into a small cup or saucer first, much easier to gently lower into the water.

Don't listen to the people that say 'add vinegar'.... unless you want your poached eggs tasting of vinegar.

Give the water a gentle stir to create a slight whirl, then even more gently lower the egg into the centre.

Leave for a couple of minutes and retrieve with a slotted spoon.

Easy.

Boil water, crack eggs, drop into simmering water, cook. maybe add salt. Keep the whites attached to the yolk with a spoon. Simple.

For crying out loud.

I clicked on that link aswell.

Caught by my own sh-it.

The bag method actually works very well indeed. Get a little dish, put cling film over it, drop the egg in the clingfilm, tie it up, put the egg/bag in boiling water.
