I remember bluejock was actually inspired to join by my cracking first couple of posts, but he was so elderly and frail that it took him three years to complete the registration process.

Yes Reidy!

Also, the Cherry Blossom tree has lost all it's buds now, so must be starting to get warmer, shame though!

After how wet our summer was, and how wet it's been the last weeks, I'm dreading how wet Autumn could be tbh.

There was plenty of flooding last week around here, and flood warnings where you didn't realise there was a river, just a ditch with a trickle normally.

Some mega floods around where I lived in Christchurch, we were at the top of a brow though so were ok, but were on an island a few times when the Heathcoat river burst it's banks, we lived in a loop and it used to burst it's banks and join up, making us an island. In the summer the kids used to ride the loop from 1 end of our st to the other on anything that floated really.

We'll still get those floods at some point in the summer, as you know when it rains, it bloody pours, Nelson area usually gets the worst flash floods. Almost tropical in January, can't wait.
