Anybody else have a laugh when Pip lost his rag and then the home fans proceeded to boo him everytime he got the ball

*...Waiting for the "Atleast it was a good run out" comments to start...*

I think the players just got tired towards the end, arteta looked good, so did baxter, johnson only really came alive when he went to the right wing...

...Jagielka and Valente will be dissappointed with their performances i would think...

so it wasnt then!!

we might as well just trian all pre season and have no games then!!

Rodwell was man of the match for me. He's the real deal as far as I'm concerned. So composed and showed a good range of passing both short and long. He'll definatly be a squad player this season. Looked better than Neville in midfield who also had a decent game.

cuz arteta and johnson defo didnt need to get some sort of match under there belts did they!

I wouldn't get too disappointed Dom, it was just a pre-season game. We use these to get the sharp edge back, which we obviously need. Imagine if we waited for the season to start before going for the razors edge.

Cheers D-man.

A lot of good things are spoken of this Rodwell character, pity he's not two years further down the line to slot into Carsley's slot.

Its a run out and without a load of our best players, lets not get too wound up.

Im not tbh, i think we played well, good passing football, we just made few mistakes that they capitalized from..i did think Neville played well int he midfield though, maybe we dont need a defensive mid!!! :o

Check that attitude at the door young Dom!!! In no way should we consider playing Pip there full-time.

If anyone slotting into the midfield role it's Rodwell. Neville had a good game today but Rodwell was a class above.

We definatly need to buy a new Defensive mid though.

:lol::lol: Only joking, i like Neville at Right Back...But maybe without Carsley there Neville might fit into the midfielder better than last year...just a thought...

I really hope we sign M'Bia, we havnt been rumoured strongly with many other DM's have we?

Also, off topic, if we were going to get Fernandes, wouldnt we have signed him in time for these Pre-Season games? As it seems every time we loan him he is unfit for the first 3 or 4 matches...
