That was a very decent away performance. Moyes has the team playing very well and there’s a lot of credit to the players for that uplift.

I thought Beto (misses aside) played well leading the line and linked up really well with Alcarez who never stopped running all game.

Our Defence was excellent and we were very competitive in midfield.

What I enjoyed from that game is, unlike under a certain previous manager, when we went 1-0 down I knew it was still going to be worth watching the 2nd half as we’d give it a decent go. Well played lads, you’ve earned a few days rest.

On a random side note, the commentary on TNT is really decent. Not just Carragher talking uninformed and biased BS. Actual insight and knowledge, talking about Beto playing alongside Deulofeu last season and how well O’Brien played at Lyon last year

Heard that myself and it was actually nice to hear a commentator talk about watching someone elsewhere and know a thing or two about the way they play as opposed to the usual suspects regurgitating garbage that give away they don’t have a clue about that player whatsoever and resort to cliches and stereotypes

Dunno. We got a corner from it, maybe just frustration. I thought he'd be nailed on for a booking every game but he seems quite controlled... At least against players, not so much smashing the ball away

Agree, I think our finishing let them off the hook tonight... but seeing the schedule we have had and the thin squad we`d take that.

Warm weather training camp, re-group, get some players back and we can have a crack at the run in.

Isn`t that the difference between a good finisher and a poor one... the poorer one will be "unlucky" more times than a better player?

the good finishers will have more and more chances created for them and gradually gain confidence when more and more go in.
