Looking at that youtube video package: anyone else think his first touch is not exactly top class and that he let's the ball run away from him a little further than he should? He's a good athlete and has good balance and that gets him out of the [Poor language removed] in those clips I watched. Will he get that room in our Premier League?

Dave I will fecking strangle you lid.

I'd like to think (if he did have a bad touch) that he's trying to give the defence a false hope................drawing them in

The tears it up past them with his second touch

No, in all seriousness, take another look. Maybe I've just been viewing the wrong video: YouTube - The best of "Bilyaletdinho"

He's got bags of attacking flair, but looking at that I'm just wondering where his first touch is - that's why he has to slalom his way in and out of the opposition half the time. He also looks to push the ball a bit too far ahead of him.

Close control not top class for me. That's all I'm saying.

Honestly Daveyboy, it must be a while since youve seen a winger. His close control is superb.

His feet are amazing, I bet he can throw some funky dance moves.

Compare Pienaar with Billywhatsisname. No comparison on touch.

He's a very good athlete and exciting to watch from the evidence in front of me. More direct than we have. I'm just unsure if our League will be as forgiving as the Russain league. I think we - as a league as a whole - compress the action and dont offer loads of room to run at or into. That would be my worry.

Thats what I mean Dave, Piennar is a CM/AM playing on the wing, look at the 3 videos I gave you, Ronaldo, Messi and Ribery, none of them have what you would call close control. The ball is always moving, ready to beat their man.

Try and look at Videos of that utter carthorse Jonas who plays for Newcastle, he always keeps the ball at his feet, but he never once beats a man.

Anyway, this lerd has been playing since March? So he should hit the ground running, clearly we should give him some leeway with regard to adapting, so I think it would be fair to judge him properly just after Xmas.

Its very hard to dismiss or even praise somebody on youtube vids alone. I look forward to the Russia vs Wales game.

With respect mate, those three are world class and they hardly ever give a defender they're facing the green light that the ball is theirs to attack. It's always under control even at high speed.

More my concern is how the lad takes the ball and gathers it in. That's why yu're seeing amazing twists and turns...it's not in his possession and his athleticism gets him out of the situation.

As I say. Looks a good signing, but I think we have the right to project ahead and speculate where he might find it difficult here.
