Thats starting to piss me off, they try way too hard to say its not a panic buy.
So you think that we are scouting players only when we have money? We are maybe broke for 345 days of the year, but Moyes is too good of a manager for such a statements having any legs.
And Fellaini wasn't panic buy either...

Thats what I mean Dave, Piennar is a CM/AM playing on the wing, look at the 3 videos I gave you, Ronaldo, Messi and Ribery, none of them have what you would call close control. The ball is always moving, ready to beat their man.

Try and look at Videos of that utter carthorse Jonas who plays for Newcastle, he always keeps the ball at his feet, but he never once beats a man.
If Messi doesn't have a great close control then I really don't know who has (maube Robben).
Also, for me close control isn't so important in Premiership, unless you are a team which week after week is trying to move the opposition bus. We are not in this position, so we will do well with pacy enough and creative enough player like... our new signing (sorry, but even being Polish I have a problem pronouncing his name). If Premiership would demand such a great ball control then pace merchants like Aaron Lennon or Shawn Wright Phillips would struggle big time and they are doing well enough. Even Bernard Mendy, who's having terrible ball control, was doing okay last year for Hull and some members here (including me) was considering him as a back-up winger for us.

PS. Regarding Bilyaletdinov (I cheated with copy&paste) - I would love to also have Blaszczykowski signed, then finally there would be a good reason for announcers to not like us :).

I think I remember him coming on as a sub in one of the euro championship games under Hiddink and he made an immediate difference with his wanting to get on the ball and run at people.

I remember him because of his mad name and the fact that he looked like he was a good player - the sort of player Everton could do with, but the sort of player that goes to a club in Spain.

Happy we have got him as I think he has the potential to be really decent.

Welcome mate.

He looks superb on youtube, as they always do like. Seeing him play in Euro 08 reminded me of who he is, I remember him sticking out.

Pleased we will have some decent width now.
