Think Golovkin is slightly overrated and Brook is definitely underrated.

Also why is golovkin ducking Canelo and kovalev? Maybe because he and his team know he's not as good as he's made out to be.

Said this a few weeks back when Eubank was proposed for GGG. Golovkin has barely fought anyone of note yet. Lemieux and Murray basically.

Kell Brook is a massive step up in terms of in ring quality and I agree with you - I think Brook goes in as slight favourite. Either GGG proves he's the real deal (which is very possible), or he's going to be relying on that weight difference to get through.

Yeah Kovalev is about twice Golovkin's size, there's no ducking going on there they're just completely different weights. Just because people like Khan and McGregor in the UFC are willing to go up in weight and get flattened doesn't mean everyone should have to.

Well the spin is that Alvarez is the one ducking the fight, not sure either of them want it. It was Goovkins camp that mentioned Kovalev name first.

why should he ? Kovalev is naturally much bigger than golovkin. Brook is a HUGE welter and size won't be that different on fight night .brook has said himself he struggles to make weight at welter now . It's a mismatch no doubt about it but nobody else at middle has the plums to face him .

As for the Alvarez 'spin' lol , canelo VACATED the WBC middleweight belt to avoid GGG and face Liam smith .

How the hell is that spin ?

I think brook is hugely underrated, the only welter who worries me for him is potentially spence, but this is suicide

It depends. If Brook is the more mobile and technical boxer - which I think he is - he won't be putting himself in harms way too often.

I think it ends in a similar way to Khan/Canelo; either a points win for Brook, or a stoppage for GGG, but I fully expect Brook to dominate the rounds.

It's true! Lemieux is by far his biggest scalp. He hasn't fought anyone else in the world top 10 at his weight.

I think he is the best overall Middleweight in the world as he clearly has power and technique, but the point is that he hasn't proved it against a serious elite level fighter in a big fight yet.

Of course he is putting himself in harms way . GGG is probably the best in boxing at cutting off the ring . Brook won't be able to run all night and that's not brooks style anyway .
