Well it was a gush of verbal poop from start to finish. I will paraphrase …..

He said - We did well in the first half but tailed off , doing a lot better in the second half.

On that point - we were turgid in both half’s and ‘better’ doesn’t come into it at any point. We were embarrassing in every way at all times. It was better in the sense - I drank acid , but did much better and changed to drinking bleach, which is clearly an improvement.

He also said that the team isnt scoring because the expectation and criticism is knocking their confidence, meaning they are shooting when they should be passing and passing when they should be shooting.

On that point - so it’s not his or the players fault! It’s not poor coaching or tactics either ! It’s everyone else fault for pointing out the reality of 1 goal in open play in over 15 hours of football.
So let’s all remember that today the 0 shots on target were actually meant to be the 0% of critical passes in the final third, and the 0% of critical passes were meant to be the 0 shots on target. The players just got confused after nasty people had the audacity to expect a football team to shoot and score a goal in open play more than once in 10 matches!
