Boss photos you've taken

I sold the 5D Mk2 m8 - it was too big and heavy - cumbersome for macro. Plus being full frame it really is suited to landscape and not macro. It's a lot harder to fill a frame on the 5 series. Cropped sensors are far better for macro workers.

Wow...controversial! Tho' your reasoning is sound. Personally I'm faithful to full-frame now, but you're right, my macros are trickier now compared to my early glory days with the Oly E-410 (half-frame).

How do you find a green dot one? It doesn't list that in the product name from what I can see?

If the seller isn't showing you a pic where you see it, then write him and ask. I've heard that other-dot versions are 'correct', in that they communicate the aperture value to the camera. This helps get auto-exposure right, but you lose AF (unless your 70D can AF to f8? the 5DII could only AF to f5.6).

This caterpillar ambling through the sphagnum moss on the rockery looks as if it is contemplating whether to eat the next sticky-up bit of greenery. As it turned out, it just sauntered past it and dropped to a deeper part of the rock below!

Don't worry, this isn't a stalker alert thing.

Post some super photos you've took around the world, or perhaps something which captured an ace moment. Some of these from my travels, holidays and stuff.

Antigua. This was at 20m diving, the flash is ****e at that depth but if you can take it in a a sheltered area then you get the colours. This is a lion fish I think.

Venice - great little place to walk around aimlessly for days.

Pacific coast Mexico - went for a walk up the beach and saw loads of turtles being released into the sea for the first time. Superb moment.

Greece - stopped off on some random little bay and caught a fisherman going out in the sunset.

Greece - woke up to a thunderstorm, spawned this.

Cuba - hard not to take a good photo in Havana.

Cuba - some mad little deserted island, got a stalk or something on a pole at a night time.

NY - the photo is not all that, but just a great city.
