I sold the 5D Mk2 m8 - it was too big and heavy - cumbersome for macro. Plus being full frame it really is suited to landscape and not macro. It's a lot harder to fill a frame on the 5 series. Cropped sensors are far better for macro workers.
Wow...controversial! Tho' your reasoning is sound. Personally I'm faithful to full-frame now, but you're right, my macros are trickier now compared to my early glory days with the Oly E-410 (half-frame).
How do you find a green dot one? It doesn't list that in the product name from what I can see?
If the seller isn't showing you a pic where you see it, then write him and ask. I've heard that other-dot versions are 'correct', in that they communicate the aperture value to the camera. This helps get auto-exposure right, but you lose AF (unless your 70D can AF to f8? the 5DII could only AF to f5.6).
