Boss photos you've taken

Still see quality every time I look in this thread, well done everyone.

Here are a few from a quick visit to Brockholes Nature Reserve at Preston on Wednesday - not as good as the proper birding togs might get, but I was quite pleased to even photograph the whitethroat up here round Preston. And, I know it's reasonably small in the frame, but I like it that way as it gives a good indication of it's size in the branches of a (I think) a hazel tree.

Even on cold windy days, sometimes you can get lucky and find an insect that you don't expect to find. I had to use the onboard flash due to the urgency required to grab this small bee, Hylaeus sp, before it flew away, or was carried to the wings on the strong gusting wind this afternoon. The "masked bee" was on the leaf of the variegated bay laurel for less than a minute... I used all 3 extension tubes on the 100mm macro lens for this, and both images are cropped!

Iain and Paul, fantastic as usual. Just caught up on this thread from the last time I've posted.

I've been a tosspot and haven't shared anything here in awhile.

Once I return from Bucharest I have some nice shots of Venice and Sicily to share!! As well as the Romanian ones later!

Keep up the great work.

Got my first SLR today as a birthday present off the wife. Anyone recommend some decent editing software etc, as I quite fancy taking it a bit more seriously now.

Lightroom is excellent. Use on it's own or with one of the Adobe packages - Elements or PS.

Yeah I use Lightroom, nice an dpowerful as well as easy to use. My nieece who is 14 has just bought a Sony A3000 as her first camera an dI will be getting her sorted with Lightroom.
