With just 2 games to defend their Senior Cup win from last year, Bootle take on Everton for the 3rd time in six years, having previously gone 124 years since the last time they played each other.
This is the Original Merseyside Derby.
Bootle and Everton share a history of rivalry that goes back to the late 1800's when they fought for a place in the newly formed football league.
Everton won the place ahead of Bootle, and the Bucks had to settle for the League Alliance which soon became the new 2nd Division of the football league. The rest as they say is history.
Bootle of course where the first ever winners of the Liverpool Senior Cup back in 1883 and are the current holders of the trophy, winning it in August 2013 at The Delta Taxis Stadium. The Bucks have won the cup on a total of 4 occasions now.
Everton have won the competition the most times, 45 times in total.
After Bootle's win in 1883, Everton won it in 1884. Bootle won the competition again in 1888 from Everton, and retained it a year later before Everton reclaimed the trophy in 1890.
Here's hoping the Bucks can win this game again and go on to retain the Liverpool Senior Cup. A most prestigious trophy in the Northwest.
