Hard to believe that the might Big Bob was 71 years old yesterday

Latchford was the first player i tend to remember as an Everton fan. The first glamour player. Him and dave thomas but Latchford more. I grew up going with mates more in howard kendalls era. But Bob Latchford is really my first Everton memory.

Where did it all go wrong?

We have had 2-3 very good strikers in the Yak, Lukaku - DCL .... the Latch was a great no 9 as was Joe Royle

He was the best centre forward in the country when at Birmingham. You just knew Everton would buy him. Changed days now when we can only buy has-beens and like Rondon
