He should be much further along the development road than Dowell though. Dowell was sent out to gain experience as he had none, but Lookman has played 70+ senior games.

It doesn't say a lot for the level of coaching at the club if a player we signed for £10m a year ago hasn't improved above Championship level when he was playing in that league at 17.

Senior games is far different from senior high level games. Doesnt matter if he has 200 senior games at grade school level, doesnt make him ready for the premier league.

Lookman came from League 1. 1500 Minutes in the Championship at age 17 isnt enough to develop a player.
