Blues weighing up Lookman loan

Loan is the best thing for him now because if it’s true Sam isn’t going to play him, a loan is better than him doing nothing for the rest of the season.

Beyond stupid.

We've seen a bonfire of creative players at this club for two seasons now. If it were happening at another club I'd chuckle and wish the worst for them.

We're sprinting backward toward the Dark Ages. We need a saviour appointment to turn this around and head back toward the Enlightenment.

Was it Mourinho who referred to Allardyce as playing 19th century football?

Not that he can talk half the time, like.

Exactly the correct thing to do for the lad.
Get him out of this place for a bit, and let him develop in less of a pressure cooker.

...where he goes and who he plays for is key.

He’s very talented but lots of players are very talented. He needs a coach who tries to simplify his game. He just needs to get at his full back. Take him the cleaners. Outside, hit the byline and create or cut inside and unleash shots. Go to war with your opposite number.

It is appalling Dave. We may as well send him out on loan if he isn't going to play though, which is stupid because he should be receiving game time.

Will be delighted personally if he's loaned out.... Looks a genuine attacking talent, and will have his development seriously hampered under Big Sam... Loan him to a team who will actually attack, and bring him back when we appoint a proper manager in the summer...

Absolutely the right thing to do for him. Yes, the team may suffer short term, but the long term rewards will be worth it. Besides, if he isnt going to play him anyway, whats the point of keeping him in the squad?

A loan to a championship team, much like Dowell, I think would do a world of good for both his skill and confidence.
Agree - but he should go to a premiership team to build experience in this league - he's already played 40+ in the Championship for Charlton...

It underlines what we've become mate:

Sell Deulofeu
Loan Dowell
Loan Lookman.
You know what is funny to me Dave? If we had signed Sigurdsson last season with Barkley and Lukaku around, it probably would have been an immaculate signing. Signing he and Rooney this time around was probably the worst thing that could have happened to the club (through no fault of their own of course). They have blocked the path for all of the talent we had coming through, and tbh they are ill fits in the current setup of the team. It's so frustrating.
