Blues weighing up Lookman loan

For me, ironic as it seems, your second sentence justifies the first. When we have the “utter turds” commanding the first team spots, Dowell in particular is better off out of it. There’s no reason to be confident he’d even be in the squad with our current set up , meanwhile he’s proving he’s one of best young players in the Championship.
I don’t want Lookman to go out on loan . He has a raw talent and skill unlike any other in our squad . But he still has flaws that need ironing out to make him a better PL player. FFS, we are a PL. club we should be able to improve him without him going on loan. And that’s where my brain goes into melt down. I’m struggling to believe we can actually improve him this season within our current set up, and he becomes a wasted talent, and I start to think he’d be better off away on loan.
A lot of people on this thread tonight saying something similar. But to me it's just 2 wrongs making a right.

It shouldn't have to be this way. The club is coming apart at the seams and I feel like tearing my hair out because there's absolutely f all I can do about it.

Lookman belies the media claims that we don't have pace. He well has the pace and skill albeit hes not the finished product passing and judgement wise. However, the only way he will adapt to the Premiership is to play in it... if not from the start then longer pitchtime off the bench and not just the last 10/15 minutes. I know Seamus got great experience at Blackpool as a marauding defender and that Dowell is doing great at Forest with 10 goals and plenty of assists. I'm not sure though that Lookman would gain anything by plying his trade in the Championship....Christ Almighty, he was homesick when he came here so weve only just got him settled in. Play him...at least he gives us some style and verve and gets people off their seats....for the right reasons - and not to say, as with the others, "sod this,...I'm goin the kharzi".

Lookman doesn’t fit in this team because he is exciting to watch and they aren’t. I’d like to see him on the pitch WITH Walcott and Tosun - that has the potential of a pretty fast skillful and scary front line. Stick the Icelander in behind them and we will run rampant on someone at Goodison soon. He must be gutted that we got ourselves out of three of the four competitions as that was where his development would have come from. Please keep him!

I'd resent being on loan given the starting opportunities given to inferior players.

Let's face it - the likes of Dowell (and Lookman if this loan happens) are on the outside not because they aren;t good enough for the PL but because they each had a 'kin clueless lump of a manager who didn't have the foggiest how to play talented players.
Yes, but at he same time I wonder if they aren't better off away from the bedlam.

Way to not make even the slightest attempt to answer the question.

And the real question now is knowing it looks like he will get little playing time, if any, under BFS, at this point in time what is the best decision for him and the future of the club? The answer to that is a loan. Lots of things happen to young people they dislike at the time, but 5 years down the road are very very thankful for, I suspect Dowells loan will be one of them. God forbid he was stuck with this mess this season and derailed his confidence.

spot on this

Our team is being ripped apart and all we can do is watch on from the sides.

The whole situation with the squad as it is, lookman going on loan, selling Sandro Ramirez, is like watching a huge car crash in slow motion.

I love Everton.

I [Poor language removed] hate the people in charge.

remember a few years ago we had stones, geri, barkley lukaku. the two best full backs in the league an up and coming manager who was playing great football.

a real managed decline since then, Plenty to blame starting from martinez for not being able to recognise his faults and set them right

If he does go out on loan then it is a damning indictment of a) Steve Walsh strategy and b) the leadership being shown at higher levels.

Whats the point in buying these young stars from the lower leagues only to never get an opportunity and then shepherd them out a year later on loan.

What's more, future young stars see what we're doing and will swerve us.

Muppetry of the highest order.
