The argument for keeping DCL in the team ahead of Beto is getting weaker with each game.
I don't know what is the issue with DCL but at the moment he looks absolutely toothless, almost disinterested.

Beto, on the other hand is now playing the way we would want our striker to full, full of endeavour and commitment. He may be limited in certain areas of his game but even those will improve somewhat if he gets regular game exposure.

I have been a big fan of DCL for years but now I can't see any reason for him to stay in the team.

There’s two factors here in the past two games, DCL starts we’re pumping long balls at him and he has his back to goal, Beto comes on we start playing it to feet and he’s facing goal. If we can do that for one, why not the other?

The issue is, if he starts and doesn't do much he's then straight back to the bench because that's what Dyche is like with him but DCL can not do much and start every game, Beto needs a run of starts I think

Not too convinced about that.
The chances Beto had we pumped balls over the top or more dead balls.
No much, if any different to what was going on with DCL.
Arguably they weren’t defending as deep but playing balls to feet in the final 3rd isn’t in the Dychionary.

His goal yesterday was a prime example of what he can do. He wants to knock it past a defender and run into the space. He isn't a target man like DCL and that's his main issue as that's what Dyche wants, someone who can make it stick up top and that's not Betos strength.

Deserved to be a goal because it was a brilliant touch and finish....plus I'm still saying he was level at worst.

watch this, you'll see his erratic finishing but you'll see the things he does actually do well when he's running with the ball

Looks more mobile this season,also looks like his best attribute is to play "off the shoulder" of the defender,if we can get our creative sources in our team to supply him,he could well still be productive for us I think.

YES Things happen! And not bad things. Before the match the comm was talking about Beto's game last week then he goes, "But it was always going to be Calvert-Lewin starting." WHAT? WHY? ARE YOU AS STUPID AS OUR MANAGER?

For a guy that can barely control the ball at times, he can do some insanely skilled things. The instinct seems to turn on when he beats his man.

probably because one can score that way and the other can’t i’m assuming

I've defended DCL many times on here but he hardly touched the ball yesterday which is very worrying for the type of opponent it was. All I can remember is him hitting one cross which went through the six yard box. That's it.

Beto in 15 minute spell hit the bar, could've easily drawn a red card with a positive angled run and very marginal offside from a nice control and finish.

He's done more than enough to start the next couple of games tbh.

He is a handful, and like you say, he looks more mobile this season. He just looks like ge wants it more than DCL.

If we have to adapt the way we play in order to get the best out of Beto, then I'm all for that because this long ball to DCL football is awful to watch, and more than that, it's not working!
