If memory serves didn't our own research conducted for the planning application for the stadium state it was a 2 to 1 ratio of reds in the city?

After a quick search to see if I was remembering it correctly this is the document.

There might be more people who say they are reds around the city and elsewhere, definitely miles more than our fan base
but they don't actually follow the team physically by going the stadium .
Its just like me saying i am a Catholic but havnt been to church for decades unless it's for a funeral / wedding ect,
saying that I will have been to more of those events than half the so called reds have been to anfield
So in effect just in name only.
We outnumber them about 4 to 1 for actual local match going fans.

Don't know if it's true but I've seen it said that Local RS fans don't bother any more because of the tourist attraction it's become. Although I cant moan about that as any time I've been to Goodison I've been the tourist...

My older brother stopped actually going because it had changed so much.
He had followed them for decades. Going back to the 50s
Still loves them but I don't think you would get him up there anymore .
Says you can't let yourself go(, he means ranting) and are surrounded by people who spend more time with a phone in front of them that watching the game.
He says its just not the same,
I can see where he is coming from.
Saying that I don't think that's just a LFC thing seems all the big clubs
I don't mind the ones that go the game at all, get a bit of banter ect that's fine, but the telly clappers and match slags get on my nerves, think a lot of proper reds feel the same way as well,
It's diluted there heritage thier eyes.

honestly, most of the time i just congratulate them on their success. Seems to annoy them more than if i start calling out their weirdness.

The handful of red in my family locally don't bother much anymore.
