Scotland is a wonderful place but it's pretty damn cold.Scotland. Cheaper cost of living, lots of beautiful countryside and a reasonable prospect of being selected for the national rugby team inside four years.
Isn't Aberdeen the centre of the oil industry in Scotland? Can't imagine why that would make houses more expensive there than in other parts of the country...You are having a laugh
Try living up here in Aberdeen
Far too expensive
Try Up Holland (posh skem) you get a house for half the price .
Not everyone works in the oil businessIsn't Aberdeen the centre of the oil industry in Scotland? Can't imagine why that would make houses more expensive there than in other parts of the country...

And not just houses either
You've been obviously
The Lake district is an amazing place but I wonder what it's like to live there when the tourism gets going. You've got an army of pensioners laying siege to the place each summer, can't swing a cat without hitting Agnes and her trekking poles. If you are wanting scenery - anywhere near the lake district - Bowness, Windermere, Kendal. Pricey though, and lots of tourists to deal with.
Cambridge.
