We should have won the 68 Cup Final ... totally outplayed them only to concede to a fluke goal by Jeff Astle. Only a few weeks before we had battered them 6 - 2 at the Hawthorns & all hands expected a similar result.

That 6-2 battering was the first game I went to. As a 6 year old I fully expected the final to go the same way. An early introduction to life as a Blue and it was probably for the best. I'm always prepared for disappointment and when we win I'm always grateful.
