I'd be way beyond surprised - I'd be over the moon and into the orbit of Jupiter. No way are City, United and Chelsea all going to miss out on the Champions League spots.
I'd say you're right about Chelsea and Citeh.
But I can really see United struggling to make that top four.
I mean, Arsenal and Spurs are going to be real hot contenders.
Liverpool are in with a shout as are EFC.
Take Rooney and RVP out of United's first XI and they are bereft of matchwinners.
Of the seven realistic contenders for those top four places, I see United as being the most vulnerable and most likely to miss out based on what we have seen thus far.
That Baggies result is of huge significance.......not even for the result so much as for the way Clarke sent his team out there to win. not just hang on and hope for the best.
The fear factor is gone now, the rolling over by EPL managers for their guru (Fergie) is gone now...they sre finding themselves in a whole new ball game.
And once the refs realise Fergie ain't sat there glowering at them from the dugout and the soft pennos and dodgy red cards start drying up. like against Palace, then Old Trafford sill be a cardboard fortress.
