I'm up over £200 this summer because I've been able to call a few correctly, using rational deduction alone, when others have been caught up in 'nothing's changed' or 'we're super rich' delusions. My latest prediction, aside from Rom not signing for us in the next 3 week,s is as follows and note it contravenes the ITK assertion that we'll formally appoint David Dein before the end of the summer.
"With over 2 weeks to the first game I predict that Gueye will be our first significant signing. Come Sept we'll have a net spend of 30-55 million. We won't appoint David Dein and we won't sign Carvalho but may snag Witsel and maybe even Mata at the last minute. The idea that we'll outbid a determined Chelsea for Koulibaly is fanciful but we will sign a few the level of Brady and Lamine Kone."
Was thinking this myself, Witsel would need permission from Zenit to talk to Juve, and unless they've agreed a fee, then would think Zenit aren't going to let him discuss personal terms.

I think many are misreading this completely. If he had no interest in coming to us he would make that widely known and Zenit would know that the Juventus offer was the only one in town.
However that's not the case. What we have in order of Witsel's preference is (i) go to Juventus (ii) go to Everton (iii) stay at Zenit.
(I) is not possible because Juventus refuse to match our bid, and (iii) is not a desirable outcome for either Zenit or Witsel.
If he categorically did not want to come here he would have made that clear leaving Zenit to accept a lower bid from Juventus. That has not happened.
