You may be correct about agents fees etc, but I suspect that story is more to do with the possible limitations that were debated when Koeman was appointed around his management of youth.

So far - in the last two weeks according to media/twitter we have signed him, Chelsea have signed him, Napoli have signed him, we signed him again and Napoli have now signed him.
Let's be honest we've gone from not signing the likes of Tom Huddleston and Scott Parker to not signing Witsel and Mata - that there is progression . In all seriousness I'm not too bothered by this transfer talk. I'm pretty confident we will sign quality players this summer and Witsel is one of them great, if not then we move on to the next target
